Clover.

My name is Chloe.

Since before I can remember though, my godmother declared me as Clover, which is where I got the name for Clover & Co. Photo. The four leaf clover has always been a symbol that I hold near and dear to my heart. To most, a four leaf clover merely means a good day or a little, lucky, small treasure. To me, clovers are much more than a bit of scarce luck.

I'm not sure how well known this is but a clover's fourth leaf is actually a mistake-- a developmental error or a reaction to its environment being tainted.

Too often do we look at instances and situation in our lives, that are caused by flaws of growth or poor environments, as defeat but they are not. In fact, these hiccups, road bumps or blocks, mistakes, and heartaches in life are what help us grow and develop into something more than what we could have imagined-- just like when the typical three leaf clover grows it's fourth lobe. Some may call it a rare mutation but I see it more as a little miracle.

Each of us have gotten to where we are through things unplanned, heavy burdens, or the like. The roads that have been closed and the new ones that were paved have brought me here and I see that as a blessing.

There are 3 direly important factors of life which are hope, faith, and love--what the three lobes of a traditional clover represent. Luck, representing the lucky fourth lobe, may be a figment of our imagination, though it could possibly be the final ingredient of life that we depend on the most. Whatever your life may grant you, let it be plentiful with hope, faith, love, luck, and clovers.

How it all Began

Since I was young, I loved to have a camera in hand. I remember my first little Kodak, point and shoot camera that my grandma got me for Christmas when I was just in elementary school. Then, my family got a Cannon kit and I began taking pictures of anything and everything.

During family vacations, at family reunions, for school projects, etc., I would use any opportunity to capture life through a lens. Though, never did I consider becoming a photographer. I'd say the closest I got to shooting professional before Clover & Co. was for the high school yearbook.

Fast forward to October 2020, my wedding photographer inspired me to start my own business. After some research, confidence, and a bit of luck, I was able to hit the ground running.

I started off with the idea of this just being a little something to do on the side but, when I lost my job in December 2020, I decided to go a little bit deeper into the business. January 2021 I launched Clover & Co. Photo and have been going strong since then!

Although the saying is that "all good things come to an end" in this case, all good things come to a pause. In June of 2022, after almost 3 years of pursuing a teaching career I finally landed my first, official, full-time teaching position. At first, I was still going full force with Clover & Co. but after a little burn out and a few break downs, I have decided to take a few steps back for just a little while. Since about November of 2022, I have decided to take a break with Clover & Co. but don't worry, my gears are turning in prep and plan for the next chapter in this business' life!

Thank you so much for being a part of this journey in my life. Whether this be a chapter or a part of the whole book, I would not be who I am right now without each person that I have worked with.

Thank you.
